About the Role

Summary:

Regional Regulatory Affairs is responsible for supporting product registration, notification, and compliance activities across multiple markets in the region. This role assists in preparing regulatory submissions, monitoring regulatory changes, conducting new market entry requirement checks, and coordinating with local authorities to ensure timely approvals and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Regulatory Submissions & Compliance

  • Prepare, compile, and submit product dossiers for registration, notification, renewal, and variation across assigned markets.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, ASEAN Cosmetic Directive, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory records and documentation.

New Market Entry Requirements

  • Conduct research and assess regulatory requirements for new market entry to support business expansion.
  • Summarise country-specific requirements, timelines, and potential regulatory challenges for decision-making.
  • Liaise with authorities, consultants, and local distributors to confirm feasibility of new market entry.

Regulatory Intelligence & Support

  • Monitor regulatory developments in the region and summarise key updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide operational support in responding to regulatory queries from authorities.
  • Assist in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Documentation & Labelling

  • Review and coordinate artwork, labelling, and promotional materials for compliance with regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with brands and external partners to facilitate timely submissions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure regulatory requirements are considered in business planning.

Key Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in science (Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Bio-Chemistry, or related field).

Experience:

  • Min 5 years in regulatory affairs, ideally with regional or multi-market exposure.
  • Experience in cosmetics/pharmaceuticals is preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of ASEAN and regional regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with global guidelines (ICH, GMP, ISO) is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills, especially for new market entry evaluations.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Other:

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willingness to travel within the region if required.
