A globally expanding automotive manufacturer with strong international market presence is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to drive market performance and strengthen dealer network operations in Malaysia.
This role will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, leading dealer performance improvement, and ensuring effective execution of corporate sales strategies in the field.
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will act as the key field driver between headquarters and the dealer network, ensuring commercial execution, inventory management, customer satisfaction, and retail excellence across the territory.
This position requires strong dealer relationship management, structured sales planning, and hands-on execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Target Execution
- Execute regional sales plans aligned with HQ strategy and annual budget targets
- Drive achievement of monthly and annual sales objectives
- Monitor daily commercial activities and ensure performance tracking
Dealer Network Management
- Act as the primary liaison between the brand and dealer partners
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with dealer groups
- Monitor and evaluate dealer performance, providing analysis and improvement recommendations
- Negotiate performance enhancement plans where necessary
Inventory & Commercial Control
- Ensure balanced inventory levels (volume, mix, and aging stock control)
- Oversee stock planning and movement to maintain healthy turnover
- Monitor retail activities and customer journey execution across dealerships
Customer Experience & Retail Excellence
- Drive improvements in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
- Ensure proper management of leads, test drives, contracting, and financing processes
- Monitor dealer execution of brand standards across touchpoints
Field Activation & Marketing Support
- Lead planning and execution of pop-up exhibitions and promotional activities
- Manage site selection, setup, materials, and lead generation initiatives
Sales Systems & Team Development
- Strengthen and optimize sales management systems and processes
- Ensure training and capability development within the national sales team
- Develop structured action plans with field teams to incentivize dealer performance
Market Intelligence
- Analyze market conditions, competitor movements, and industry trends
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive sales and dealer network management
- Strong relationships and network within dealer groups
- Proven ability in sales planning, execution, and dealer performance improvement
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills
- High resilience and ability to perform under pressure
- English as working language
