We are partnering with a well-established international retail group to hire a Senior Accountant to support Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan markets.
This is a hands-on regional role ideal for finance professionals with strong full-set accounting experience within retail, FMCG, distribution, or consumer-driven industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts in accordance with corporate policies and local GAAP across multiple markets
- Handle end-to-end accounting functions including:
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR) & retail sales reconciliation
- Invoice coding and staff claims validation
- Payment processing via online banking platforms
- Withholding tax and statutory filings
- Prepare monthly closing, financial reports, and balance sheet schedules
- Oversee fixed assets management including asset tagging and tracking
- Support annual inventory counts for boutiques/stores and warehouses
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure timely statutory, GST, and corporate tax compliance
- Work closely with regional stakeholders and cross-border teams
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in retail, FMCG, distribution, consumer goods, or similar industries
- Experienced with Malaysia e-invoicing implementation
- Experience handling full sets of accounts and monthly reporting
- Exposure to multi-country operations (Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, or regional markets) is an advantage
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with ability to work independently and across markets
- Proficient in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for regional communication
