Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Regional Social Media & Community Manager is responsible for the Great Place to Work ASEAN & ANZ social ecosystem. 

You will own the day-to-day management of Great Place to Work's regional and country social media channels, driving consistent content, community engagement, social listening and client engagement across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Working closely with the Regional Content Manager, Marketing Business Partners, Regional Digital Marketing Manager and Design team, you will make sure every piece of content reaches the right audience and every opportunity to strengthen Great Place to Work's reputation is maximised.

This is an execution-oriented role for an organised, proactive and commercially trained social media professional who thrives on building communities and engaging audiences in the world of work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role requires a strong background in both writing and designing content for both LinkedIn and Instagram and a deep understanding of how the two platforms differ. You will need a creative background in Canva that demonstrates video and static excellence.

Your success will be measured by your ability to increase brand reach, strengthen community engagement, amplify client success stories, and contribute to commercial outcomes across the region.

Regional Social Media Management

  • Own the day-to-day management of Great Place to Work's regional and country social media channels across ASEAN & ANZ.
  • Develop, maintain and execute the regional social media calendar in collaboration with the Regional Content Manager and Marketing Business Partners.
  • Create, adapt, schedule and publish engaging social media content across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  • Create engaging, informative social content that keeps our channels active and relevant. You will need to demonstrate an ability to stay aware of relevant social trends and content opportunities and act on them quickly.

Community Engagement

  • Build and execute GPTW's regional client amplification program by identifying our client's best Great Place To Work success stories and surfacing them. 
  • Monitor Certification™, Best Workplaces™ and workplace culture conversations across social media. 
  • Proactively engage with client, executive and partner posts through likes, comments, reposts and meaningful interactions. 
  • Build relationships with client marketing teams and encourage greater advocacy across social channels.

Executive Advocacy

  • Support regional and country leaders in strengthening their LinkedIn presence through proactive engagement and social best practice.
  • Draft social content, comments and engagement recommendations for leaders where appropriate.
  • Help grow executive visibility by identifying opportunities to celebrate clients, recognise achievements and contribute to relevant industry discussions.

Social Listening & Performance

  • Monitor brand mentions, client conversations, industry trends and competitor activity across social media.
  • Identify high-value advocacy opportunities and ensure they are actioned quickly.
  • Measure and report on social media performance, client advocacy, engagement and audience growth.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the Regional Content Manager to maximise the reach and impact of regional campaigns.
  • Partner with Marketing Business Partners to support local market priorities through social media.
  • Own and optimise the regional social media technology stack, leveraging AI, automation and social media platforms to improve publishing, social listening, client advocacy, community management, reporting and workflow efficiency.

 

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Relevant Experience:

  • 2–5 years experience in social media, community management, content marketing or a related discipline, ideally in a B2B or multi-market environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience managing brand social media channels, with strong knowledge of LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Demonstrated experience creating, adapting, scheduling and publishing engaging social-first content. 
  • Strong experience in community management, social listening and proactive audience engagement. 
  • Experience using social media management, listening and analytics platforms, including AI and automation tools, with the ability to evaluate and adopt new technology. 
  • Strong analytical capability with experience measuring social performance, identifying insights and translating them into improvements. 
  • Experience using CRM and marketing platforms such as HubSpot is desirable.

WAYS OF WORKING

This is a hybrid role based in Malaysia. Some national and international travel may be required. Flexibility to connect with regional teams across time zones is essential.
