Job Description
What's the role
Manage the flow of finished goods materials within the market organisations ensuring there is an optimisation of
inventory and service levels at all locations in line with the following company objectives:
Purchasing for business unit / trade basket portfolio(s)
Manage product availability to achieve corporate service levels
Manage inventory levels to achieve working capital targets
Support Regional Demand Planning team and sales channels in providing world class customer service
What You'll Do
Collaborate with Demand Planning team and Market Organizations to manage product portfolio(s)
Release of purchasing orders to ensure targeted product availability and optimum inventory levels with
proactive management of system / planning alerts and communication to the organization
Manage inventory shortages ensuring that appropriate action is taken to resolve them with minimum cost
& minimal impact to customers including airfreight spent per BU
Ensure supply is aligned, at Business Unit (BU) level, with Annual Sales Plan and Forecasts
Prepare, present and lead the Demand and Supply Reconciliation calls with our Demand Planning team
Prepare and possibly contribute to the Markets monthly S&OP meetings
Ensure On-time / accurate execution of new product launches
Minimise obsolescence through tight purchasing controls and communication across the business. Initiate
return to supplier and inter-company sales to reduce Obsolescence and Excess stock risks.
Own the inventory positioning topics, negotatiate minimum order quantities, sourcing strategies and drive
portfolio pruning and scrapping for each markets
Contribute to the Phase In / Phase Out process to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while
minimizing total logistics costs
Master data creation and maintenance of the planning tool (APO/JDA) and other system related master
data (SAP)
Contribute pro-actively to the achievement of KPIs including product availability, days of stock, leadtime
accuracy and obsolescence
Monitoring of operational performance indicators, system alerts and reporting to senior management
Support definition and execution of continuous improvement projects
Leverage SAP functionality, Hilti global processes and best practice benchmarks to enhance supply
chain processes
Support team members with other duties from time to time as may be required

What You'll Bring
Mandate
- 2-5 years Demand/Supply Planning experience required
3. Proficient user of SAP R3 – DRP, Inventory Modules & Data Management
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel with experience in building advanced reports
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and can do attitude
- Demonstrated assertive execution and follow-up skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship, influencing & negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of PC & software applications including MS Office
- Ability to prioritize & execute multiple tasks to achieve daily operational deadlines
- Ability to work with others, cross-functionally and cross-culturally, with a customer mindset
- Experience using SAP APO/JDA – forecasting & purchasing modules
3. Experience using SAP BI reporting tools, specifically the use of BW Analyser and BW workbooks
- LEAN Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, or higher
