Job Description

About the Role

To responsible for driving business growth, deepening relationships, and maximizing the wallet share within the strategic GLCs and Public Sector client segment. A primary focus of this role is the origination and growth of the liability base (deposits), alongside the strategic cross-selling of the Bank's full product suite, while ensuring strict adherence to the Bank's credit and compliance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for the GLC and Public Sector segment, focusing heavily on deposit acquisition and retention.
  • Acquire new relationships that align with the Bank's evolving criteria for success, ensuring thorough due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Achieve comprehensive target market coverage while adhering to the Bank's strict credit and compliance policies.
  • Drive strategic cross-selling of the Bank's product suite (Cash Management, Trade Finance, Treasury, and Financing) to both existing and potential clients.
  • Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of financing solutions tailored to the specific requirements of GLCs and public sector clients.
  • Foster strong, lasting partnerships with key decision-makers and influencers within existing and potential clients to maximize facility utilization and generate strong returns for the Bank.
  • Achieve aggressive targets for liability base expansion (corporate deposits, current accounts, and fixed deposits) to ensure a balanced growth strategy and contribute to the Bank's financial stability.
  • Contribute significantly to the Financial Targets of Retail Banking and the wider institutional segment through disciplined relationship management.
  • Drive on-time achievement of the Bank's fee-based income targets by promoting utilization of non-funded products and services (e.g., Cash Management solutions, advisory services).
  • Maintain a healthy and profitable portfolio, managing risk proactively and ensuring compliance with internal credit mandates.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury department to establish new credit lines, securing favourable interbank funding opportunities related to client needs.
  • Proactively expand the Bank's Nostro network and trade routing partnerships, optimizing financial resource management for business needs and enhancing service capability for trade-related clients.
  • Work closely with internal product partners (e.g., Transaction Banking, Investment Banking) to customize and deliver bespoke solutions for public sector clients.
  • The duties and responsibilities outlined above may evolve over time without altering the overall nature or seniority of the role.
  • The job holder may also be required to undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Immediate Leader or Head of Division consistent with the role's scope and level of authority.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, or specific banking/sales certifications) are an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relationship management experience in Corporate, Commercial, or Institutional Banking.
  • Proven track record in managing relationships with Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) or Public Sector entities.
  • Demonstrable success in deposit/liability gathering and cross-selling a range of banking products.
  • Solid understanding of credit analysis, structuring complex transactions, and regulatory compliance standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Exceptional relationship building and stakeholder management skills at senior levels.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Deep commercial acumen with a focus on maximizing profitability and deposit volumes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a large portfolio, and meet demanding financial targets.
