Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research Analyst based in Kuala Lumpur. The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research and financial analysis across various asset classes. Key tasks include evaluating market trends, analyzing companies performances, preparing research reports, and providing actionable insights to guide investment strategies.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis and prepare research reports on companies listed on Bursa Malaysia and regional markets.
- Undertake to formulate financial modelling tools, provide suitable investment advices and prepare recommendation reports.
- Monitor corporate earnings, valuation metrics, industry developments and the overall local and global macroeconomic trend.
- Attend company management meetings, IPO launching, site visits and obtain timely update on industry developments.
- Proactively generate new investment ideas and assist in investment presentations.
- Assist and support Head of Research for investment research projects.
- Attend to media interviews or commentaries whenever required.
Qualifications
- Minimum relevant job experience of 1 to 2 years.
- Preferably a licence holder for Capital Markets Service Representative (CMSRL) issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia.
- Has passed Module 12 & 19 or 12 & 19A of the SCLE examination.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with basic understand of financial statements and valuation methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication, writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in multiple languages would be an advantage.
