Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development for seasoning, coating/crumb, and sauce products based on market and customer requirements.
  • Formulate new recipes and improve existing products (taste, texture, shelf life, and cost efficiency).
  • Conduct lab trials and production trials, including scale-up to mass production.
  • Work closely with Production, QA, and Sales teams to ensure product quality and feasibility.
  • Ensure all products comply with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Source and evaluate raw materials and ingredients for product development.
  • Prepare and maintain product documentation (specifications, formulations, technical data sheets).
  • Handle customer requests, customization, and provide technical support.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor products for innovation and improvement.
  • Lead and manage R&D team performance and training.
  • Support cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food R&D, preferably in seasoning, crumb/coating, or sauce products.
  • Strong knowledge in food formulation, ingredients functionality, and processing techniques.
  • Familiar with food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and FSSC 22000.
  • Good leadership and team management skills.
  • Creative, innovative, and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and customers.
