About the Role
Our client is a global leader in semiconductor equipment and is looking for an R&D Project Manager (Automation) to support the development and continuous improvement of Die Attach / Die Bonder machines.
This role will manage hardware, software, and process‑related projects, working closely with global R&D teams and manufacturing sites to ensure successful project delivery and transfer to production.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate R&D automation projects related to Die Attach equipment.
- Plan and control project scope, timelines, milestones, costs, and resources.
- Drive project execution in line with internal development processes and relevant industry standards (SEMI S2, SEMI S8, CE).
- Lead project meetings, reviews, and status updates with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate information flow between R&D teams, project owners, external partners, and production sites in Asia.
- Act as a sub‑project manager, linking R&D teams across different global locations.
- Support series introduction and handover to manufacturing for completed R&D projects.
- Contribute to performance improvement, cost reduction, and functional enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor backend, automation machinery, or industrial equipment.
- Exposure to project management within an R&D or engineering environment.
- Understanding of automation systems and equipment development.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional and global teams.
- Structured and organized approach to managing tasks and timelines.
