1.INVESTIGATION & ENFORCEMENT DIVISION
Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out basic research for example by preparing, establishing, carrying out and recording the results of work and field work, questionnaire development and conducting surveys, using simple mathematical modeling or scientific calculations;
- Assist in conducting an initial assessment of complaints and information received;
- Assist in conducting an initial assessment of potential violation cases;
- Assist in the investigation of cartel cases;
- Assist in the investigation of abuse of dominant position cases;
- Manage project data collection, data entry and processing of correspondence based on the given deadline;
- Assisting the secretariat to coordinate meetings and manage work-related policies, strategic planning and market research analysis and draft guidelines;
- Assist in coordinating meetings and discussions related to the Investigation & Enforcement Division;
- Help to coordinate all local and international support programs; and
- Other tasks directed from time to time.
2.COMPETITION ECONOMICS DIVISON
Responsibilities:
- Assist data collection strategies on specific market sectors, providing input statistics related to potential -anti-competitive practices cases;
- Assist and provide planning for any assigned market studies or economic analyses;
- Involve in market and economic analysis evaluating the economic merits of anti-competition cases;
- Guide market research initiatives to assess the competition level within specific sectors, leveraging advanced market research tools and techniques;
- Involve in comprehensive economic studies to determine market forces for the purpose of economic advice issued by MyCC;
- Coordinate economic analysis on the market to determine the anti-competitive effects of cartel inquiry cases;
- Coordinate in the preparation of a regulatory framework for specified sector studied;
- Oversee empirical studies of a sector studied;
- Assist in preparation of economic reports based on the provided empirical studies, ensuring clear communication of findings to all stakeholders; and
- Perform additional tasks as directed by head of division from time to time, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to job responsibilities.
Salary : RM3,000.00/month
