Resident Engineer - Cyber Security Risk Assesment

Role : Resident Engineers (RE) Cyber Security Risk Assessment (CSRA)

Location : Bangsar & Bangi

Experience : 3+ years

Duration: 1 year extendable contract

Role and Responsibilities

The Resident Engineer shall be responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:

·      Conduct Cyber Security Risk Assessments (CSRA) for new and existing on-premises systems, SaaS applications, and platforms.

·      Track CSRA findings through to closure and maintain the relevant risk register/tracker.

·      Support CSRA roll-down and socialization across project teams and business units.

·      Lead engagements with System Owners and Project Managers to explain the CSRA process, security controls, requirements, and overall expectations.

·      Liaise with project teams, vendors, and third parties throughout the risk assessment process.

·      Contribute to the continuous improvement of CSRA processes, templates, tools, and methodologies.

Basic Requirements

·      Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

·      Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on risk management and compliance.

·      Relevant professional certifications such as CRISC, CISSP, CISA, or CEH are an advantage.

Functional / Technical Competencies

·      Strong knowledge of cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies and frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PDPA.

·      Familiarity with on-premises infrastructure and SaaS/cloud security architectures.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize security risks.

·      Good understanding of security controls, risk treatment, and compliance requirements.

·      Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
