Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Resident Medical Officer (Paediatric) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert medical care to paediatric patients in the emergency department, ensuring timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Manage emergency situations with a focus on stabilizing critically ill or injured children.
- Perform medical procedures such as intubation, resuscitation, and other life-saving interventions as needed.
- Keep detailed and accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients families, offering guidance, reassurance, and education on their child's condition and treatment options.
- Participate in clinical training, education, and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a paediatric or emergency setting.
- Valid registration with the Malaysia Medical Council and completion of housemanship.
- Strong knowledge of paediatric emergency care, resuscitation techniques, and treatment protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Certification in Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent is an advantage
