Job Description

Start as an analyst. Grow into a financial crime specialist.

Financial crime is changing, creating demand for people who can spot suspicious activity, investigate risk and protect customers.

FDM's Risk, Regulation & Compliance Graduate Programme gives you the training and experience to enter this field. You will start with up to 12 weeks of full-time training in the FDM Skills Lab before joining a client project with a leading global organisation.

Your first role could be in transaction monitoring, customer due diligence or anti-money laundering. As your experience grows, you can move into financial crime investigations, risk management, governance, regulatory change or team leadership.

Your first 12 weeks

You will build practical knowledge of how organisations prevent financial crime and meet regulatory requirements. Your training could cover:

  • KYC and customer due diligence
  • Anti-money laundering controls
  • Transaction monitoring and sanctions screening
  • Customer onboarding and lifecycle management
  • Operational risk and internal controls
  • Data analysis and regulatory reporting
  • Business analysis and process improvement

You will also learn how to communicate with clients, manage priorities and work effectively within project teams.

Roles you could move into

  • KYC/AML Analyst: review customer information, complete due diligence checks and escalate higher-risk cases.
  • Risk Analyst: assess financial and operational risks to help teams make informed decisions.
  • Operations Analyst: review processes, identify gaps and help teams improve performance.
  • Governance Analyst: monitor controls and support compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Where it leads: build your foundations as an analyst, develop specialist expertise and progress into investigations, risk management, governance, regulatory change or team leadership.

What you need to bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any subject
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, paired with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt
  • Commitment to FDM's full 2.5-year Graduate Programme
  • Eligibility to work in Malaysia
