The post holder is responsible in managing the ROV team facilities, system, equipment, personnel, process, document (including manual), procedure, activities (including but not limited to development, repair, maintenance, procurement of equipment & services) and expenditure (Capital and Operation).
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the SSS ROV team, including equipment/systems, personnel, and documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and update ROV technical documentation, manuals, and operational procedures.
- Ensure ROV systems, equipment, and certifications comply with applicable codes, IMCA standards, and client requirements.
- Ensure ROV system readiness for projects, including maintenance, inspection, and equipment preparation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, operations, clients, and ROV personnel both onshore and offshore.
- Plan and oversee the development, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the SSS ROV fleet, including procurement of equipment and spare parts.
- Manage ROV personnel training, competency development, and performance appraisal.
- Monitor and report ROV system readiness, maintenance status, spare inventory, budget expenditure, and ensure compliance with company QHSE policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- IMCA Approved Certification for ROV
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the ROV industry with at least 5 years in supervisory or management roles
- Experience in ROV audits and fibre optic splicing
