Job Title: RPG Developer (AS400 – Online / Real-Time Systems)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RPG Developer (AS400) with a strong background in online (real-time) programming to support banking transaction systems. This role focuses on interactive RPG development for real-time applications such as ATM, mobile banking, and internet banking — not batch processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain online / real-time RPG programs on AS400 (IBM i)
• Design and support interactive applications using DSPF (Display Files)
• Work with subfiles and subfile handling for user interface development
• Build and maintain 5250 / green screen applications
• Handle real-time transaction processing (e.g., balance inquiry, card updates, fund transfers)
• Support ATM, mobile banking, and internet banking systems
• Ensure smooth Straight-Through Processing (STP) for end-to-end transactions
• Troubleshoot and resolve live transaction issues in a 24/7 environment
• Collaborate with upstream/downstream systems for instant data processing and response

Requirements

• Experience in RPG / RPGLE / ILE RPG development on AS400 (IBM i)
• Strong experience in online / interactive RPG programming (not batch)
• Hands-on experience with:
• DSPF (Display Files)
• Subfiles / subfile handling
• 5250 screens / green screen applications
• Understanding of real-time / online transaction systems (OLTP)
• Experience supporting user-facing applications and screen navigation
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues in real-time systems

Good to Have

• Experience in banking or financial systems
• Exposure to ATM or digital banking platforms
• Knowledge of Straight-Through Processing (STP)
• Experience working in 24/7 support environments
