Responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance of general accounts and financial data complies with Group Accounting Policy& Guidelines, IFRS statement, ICF and Accounting Standard Procedures including documentation of any deviation.
  • Provide valid, accurate, complete and transparent financial reporting including analysis of results and follow-up on the closure of any open items such as ensure updates and maintenance of the period end and year-end closing schedules for the countries in scope.
  • Implement in scope processes to the agreed statement of work and deliver value accounting support.
  • Work in collaboration with global regional/global ICS team to ensure all controls are performed, assessed, closed, and remediated timely including participate in the ICS call country, regional and global ICS Leads to provide a forum for clarifications and discussions.
  • Identify and implement any process improvement including effectiveness of existing policies and propose enhancements when necessary.
  • Support on any new activities transition.
  • Ensure deliverable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement mitigation actions for any KPI failure.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Accounting process and technical support, in collaboration with Accounting Governance & BPO.
  • Support Statement of Profit and Loss & Balance sheet review activities.
  • Manage team performance, discipline, and deliverables, provide guidance and support when required.
  • Manage relationships with SSC, Others Center, Country team and CFO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience/qualification. Professional Certification in Accounting/Finance is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of RTR experience in APAC region, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in manage and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the finance department.
  • Experience of using Oracle Cloud would be a preference.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights, are required.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn, especially in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork by actively engaging with team members, sharing knowledge, and providing support where necessary.
  • Experience in directly supervising a substantial team of 10 or more members within the cluster or country.

About Company

DHL is a German logistics company providing courier, package delivery and express mail service, which is a division of the German logistics firm Deutsche Post. The company group delivers over 1.6 billion parcels per year. DHL Express is market leader for parcel services in Europe and Germany's main Courier and Parcel Service.
The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
