Role Description

This is a contract-based role for a Safety and Health Officer based on-site in Pengerang. The Safety and Health Officer will be responsible for overseeing workplace safety compliance, conducting risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring employee training on safety procedures. This role requires collaboration with project teams to identify and resolve potential safety hazards, as well as ensuring full adherence to regulatory and organizational safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard identification
• Minimum Diploma in OSH, Engineering, Science, or other related field
• Experience in safety audits, workplace inspections, and drafting safety reports
• Proficiency in designing and implementing safety protocols and emergency response plans
• Effective communication and training skills for delivering safety workshops or programs
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety concerns
• Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., SHO competency by DOSH or equivalent)
• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry will be considered an advantage
• Ability to work independently on-site with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
