Job Purpose
To lead and manage the company's Occupational Safety & Health function, ensuring a safe workplace and compliance with applicable OSH requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's Safety & Health function and programmes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994 and DOSH/JKKP requirements.
- Develop and monitor HIRARC and workplace risk controls.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are closed.
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Manage PPE, chemical, machinery and workplace safety.
- Plan and conduct safety training and awareness programmes.
- Manage emergency response, fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Lead the Safety & Health Committee.
- Support ISO/IATF and customer audits.
- Liaise with DOSH/JKKP and relevant authorities.
- Prepare safety reports, statistics and updates for management.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for workplace safety.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in OSH, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian OSH requirements.
- Valid DOSH/JKKP SHO registration (Green Book) is highly preferred.
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Manufacturing / IATF / ISO experience is an advantage.
