Role and Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains company's health, safety and environment control programs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
- Identifies and provides solutions to health, safety and environment problems.
- Establish the safety programs for the project.
- Ensure achievement of HSE KPI.
- Organize safety committee, if necessary.
- Provide HSE Training to the respective staff.
- Maintain the safety statistic record for the company.
- Periodical audit on safety compliance at all project site, prepare report and provide recommendation for improvement (if any).
- Create safe working environment which is free from accidents and violations.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
- Minimum 9 years of working experiences in related field.
- Green Book certification is a MUST.
- Strong knowledge of local and national HSE regulations in Malaysia is essential.
- Practical experience in HSE management, including program development and compliance.
- Proficient in risk assessment and management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent employee's engagement skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
