Safety Officer

Job Scope

• Collaborate closely with facility teams throughout daily operations
• Develop, implement, and periodically review company/factory Safety & Health policies and procedures
• Promote Safety & Health awareness through internal training programs
• Conduct safety audits and participate in new product and machinery reviews, including hazard analysis and operator training
• Support the implementation of process controls to minimize occupational safety and health risks
• Oversee the Safety Committee and act as secretary for regular Safety Committee meetings
• Work with facility teams to ensure smooth operation of utility systems and anticipate potential breakdowns
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g. DOSH, DOE) and other relevant government bodies on EHS matters
• Control and monitor activities of contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and visitors to ensure compliance with Safety & Health procedures
• Perform weekly Safety & Health inspections and prepare reports for management review
• Manage scheduled waste, including packaging, labeling, storage, monitoring, record keeping, and reporting.
• Other additional work tasks or additional roles assigned by the superior.

Requirement

• Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Environmental, Health & Safety) or equivalent with Greenbook or DOSH
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Familiarity with ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949

Salary/ Others

• Salary: Up to RM8,000 (Stretchable depending on experience)
