About Our Client
On behalf of our client a leading, well-established regional manufacturer specializing in innovative structural building components and modular engineering systems—Aurora is currently seeking a high-performing, growth-driven sales professional.
Our client boasts a strong footprint across major Asian markets (including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong) along with a dedicated manufacturing facility in Southern Malaysia. Due to continuous expansion across the Central and Southern regions of Malaysia, they are looking to onboard a strategic commercial hunter to be based out of their premium corporate office in Kuala Lumpur.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Drive project pipeline growth by promoting structural components and building systems directly to developers, main contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Account Management: Cultivate and expand a robust portfolio of customer accounts and project opportunities across targeted regional territories.
- Specification & Consulting: Engage with engineering consultants and project owners early in the design phase to incorporate proprietary product solutions into structural specifications.
- Commercial Execution: Prepare, present, and follow up on competitive quotations, tenders, and technical sales proposals.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct regular site and client visits to analyze competitor positioning, pricing strategies, and emerging construction trends.
- Reporting: Manage and track project pipelines utilizing internal CRM tracking systems to provide accurate sales forecasts to regional management.
Requirements & Must-Haves
- Industry Experience: 1 to 4 years of proven track record in B2B project sales or business development within the construction supply chain (experience selling any building materials, concrete, steel, aluminum, hardware, or finishing products to contractors is highly valued).
- Target Network: Possess a solid, active network or understanding of how to build relationships with main contractors, sub-contractors, and engineering consultants.
- Language Fluency: Professional fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory, as the role requires close commercial negotiations with the client's Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regular coordination with their regional production teams.
- Mobility: A hunter mindset, proactive attitude, and a strong willingness to travel frequently across the Central and Southern regions of Malaysia to visit project sites and client offices.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Architecture, or a related discipline is an added advantage, though proven commercial capability is prioritized.
