Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Sales Advisor role based in Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for part-time work from home as business needs allow. The Sales Advisor will engage prospective and existing customers to understand their financial protection and savings needs, and recommend suitable AIA insurance and investment-linked solutions. Responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, conducting consultations and presentations, preparing proposals, and following up to ensure timely policy issuance and high customer satisfaction. The role also involves providing after-sales service, assisting clients with claims and policy updates, and maintaining accurate records in AIA's systems. The Sales Advisor will collaborate with team members and leaders, participate in sales meetings and training sessions, and stay informed on AIA products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting, long-term client relationships.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including clear presentation and active listening.
  • Customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and problem-solving.
  • Sales and negotiation skills, with the capability to identify needs, present solutions, and close deals ethically.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or training clients or colleagues is an advantage.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in insurance, banking, or financial services sales is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Comfort using digital tools, CRM systems, and virtual meeting platforms for hybrid work.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eligibility to work in Malaysia and willingness to be based in Kuala Lumpur with some travel for client meetings as needed.
