Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure products are specified in projects to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets.
- Proactively seek out and establish relationships with new clients to expand market share.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Conduct effective product presentations to architects, designers, and stakeholders, highlighting product advantages and key features.
- Partner with main contractors and carpenters to promote products as preferred materials, driving immediate sales opportunities.
- Track specification progress, success rates, and manage follow-up activities to convert specifications into sales.
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, accounts, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth sales management and project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of specification activities, project status, and customer interactions for reporting and analysis.
- Gather and relay market insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the building materials or architectural products industry, with a proven track record in specification and sales.
- Strong understanding of product specifications and project lifecycles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical information.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, and other specifiers.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and project tracking tools.
Working Hours and Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Working hours: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client meetings or events.
- Frequent travel within Malaysia on a day-to-day basis.
