Your Role

The Sales Assistant plays a vital role in providing support to the optical store by assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with limited experience in the optical industry who are eager to learn and grow within a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand their optical needs and preferences.
• Recommend suitable eyewear products and upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience.
• Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to revenue goals.
• Build rapport with customers and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare lenses for edging, operate machinery, and shape lenses to precise specifications.
• Ensure quality control throughout the edging process and inspect lenses for defects.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with optical professionals and stay updated on industry trends.
• Participate in upskilling and training opportunities to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

Minimal experience in optical or retail industries
