Role Description The Sales Consultant, Mortgage is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota Kinabalu. This position is responsible for promoting and selling mortgage products, including identifying prospects, conducting consultations, and recommending suitable financing solutions. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, real estate agents, and other business partners to drive loan applications and achieve sales targets. The consultant will guide customers through the mortgage application process, assist with documentation, and ensure a smooth, compliant onboarding experience. Daily activities include market outreach, follow-ups on leads, attending property events, and collaborating with internal teams to support service quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and customer relationship skills, including the ability to prospect, negotiate, and close mortgage deals.
- Solid knowledge of retail banking or mortgage products, with the capacity to explain complex financial information in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in presenting, influencing, and engaging diverse customer segments.
- Good analytical and numerical skills to assess customer eligibility, interpret financial documents, and understand credit requirements.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented work style, with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently to meet targets.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and banking systems for processing applications, tracking leads, and preparing reports.
- Prior experience in mortgage sales, retail banking, or financial services is an advantage.
- Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and delivering a positive customer experience.
