Sales Designer / Consultant

Job Title: Sales Designer Consultant

Location: Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia

Reports To: Director / Operation & Sales Manager

Core Function

• Drive Sales: Understand client needs, create design solutions, and close projects.
• Balance Skills: Requires a strong blend of sales acumen, design expertise, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development:

•   Proactively engage potential clients (referrals, leads, walk-ins).
•   Conduct consultations to understand needs, budgets, and preferences.
•   Present compelling proposals and quotations.
•   *Negotiate and close sales contracts* to achieve/exceed targets.
•   Maintain CRM records, follow up on leads, and nurture client relationships.

2. Interior Design & Space Planning:

•   Develop creative and functional design concepts.
•   Produce detailed design presentations (mood boards, material palettes, furniture selections).
•   Utilize design software (SketchUp, Coohom, Photoshop or others) for plans and 3D renderings.
•   Specify materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
•   Ensure designs comply with codes and best practices.
•   Collaborate with design team, project managers, and contractors.

3. Client Relationship Management:

•   Build and maintain strong client relationships.
•   Act as the primary client contact, addressing concerns and providing updates.
•   Manage client expectations.
•   Ensure a positive client experience.

4. Project Coordination & Administration:

•   Manage design documentation (specifications, schedules, contracts).
•   Coordinate with suppliers and contractors.
•   Assist in budget management and cost control.
•   Conduct site visits.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: Proven sales experience in interior design for a minimum of 2 years
• Portfolio: Demonstrable successful design projects.
• Software Proficiency: Coohom, SketchUp, and AutoCAD
• Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, materials, and FF&E.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, organization, and time management.
• Personal Traits: Detail-oriented, passionate about design, ability to work independently and in teams.
• Logistics: Valid driver's license and own transportation preferred.
