Role Description :

This is a full-time Sales Engineer role based in Shah Alam, Selangor. The Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with customers to understand their manufacturing processes and propose suitable automation and digitalization solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical proposals, conducting product demonstrations, supporting pre- and post-sales activities, and coordinating with internal engineering teams to ensure successful solution implementation. The role involves managing customer inquiries, providing technical advice, and following up on opportunities to achieve sales targets. The Sales Engineer participate in site visits, meetings, and training sessions as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.
  • Work with the customers and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements.
  • Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
  • Secure orders, ensure product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Establish customer rapport and acceptance.
  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.
  • Help clients to solve problems with product usage.
  • Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.
  • Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective automation and digitalization solutions.

Job Requirements :

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation) or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development.
  • Good marketing skills and business sense.
  • Ability to work with others as a team.
  • Ability to build client relationships easily.
  • Analytical ability and great problem-solving skills.
  • Presentation skills and ability to convey product value.
  • High-level organizational skills for maintaining sales territory.
  • Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts.
  • Relevant experience in industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or Industry 4.0 solutions is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and within the region as required.
