Sales Engineer, Factory Automation
Role Purpose
- Realization of the given sales plans within the defined sales region and development of the sales region to maximize the targets of P+F and customer satisfaction with regard to quality
- Responsible for understanding, promoting and designing product/system solutions using the range of P+F technologies and 3rd party products if required
- Involved in development, marketing and promotion of customized product/system solutions along with relevant P+F personnel
Major Responsibilities
Develop a thorough knowledge of P+F product capabilities and use cases through
comprehensive training programs
Assess customer applications and provide expert technical consultation to determine the
best fit for P+F products
Generate new sales lead, developing new customers and accounts for sales territories in
northern region
Maintain good relationships and build up new value with existing customers and accounts Follow up with customer enquiries, and quotations Provide training and application support for Factory Automation Products to customer Provide technical and commercial presentations as required for customer Updating and maintaining the company CRM system with respect to accounts, contact
details, visit reports, appointments and opportunity management
Work closely with internal Customer Support on order fulfillment and processing Work alongside marketing colleagues to help deliver seminars and exhibitions as required Monitor competitors activities and assists management in developing counter-competitive
Mentor and guide team members when required
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering or similar
- Experience of using or selling industrial automation products. i.e. Sensors, PLC, SCADA etc
- Knowledge of PLC Programming is an advantage
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to work in a team as well as individually
- Problem solving attitude and lateral thinker
- Willing to travel Guideline max. 10% across/outside Malaysia
- Own a car as need to meet customer most of the time
