Our Client:
We are partnering with a company that specializes in manufacturing of soldering solutions for electronics, semiconductor and plating industries. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Sales Engineer as part of their strategic growth.
Responsibility:
- Actively identify and penetrate new market segments to increase regional coverage and drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Oversee and nurture relationships with distributors and agents, ensuring they are well-equipped and aligned with our commercial objectives.
- Provide in-depth pre-sales technical support and product education. You will lead technical testing and offer optimization proposals to ensure our solutions meet specific client project needs.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from preparing detailed quotations and managing accounts to negotiating complex contract terms that benefit both the client and the firm.
- Maintain a disciplined approach to sales forecasting by preparing weekly and monthly analysis reports, tracking pipeline progress, and monitoring territory performance.
- Coordinate sales projects from initial sample requests and sales calls to post-sale support, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer.
- Assist the Regional Commercial Manager with sales budgeting, pricing strategies, and the continuous development of a localized industry knowledge base.
Requirements:
- A recognized Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience within the Malaysian electronics landscape is highly preferred. Exposure to specialized manufacturing processes—such as high-precision assembly, soldering technologies, or PCBA production—will be considered a significant advantage.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical features into clear business value for customers.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment where meeting regular targets and managing high-pressure deadlines is the norm.
- Must possess own transport and be willing to travel extensively (up to 50%) across local and overseas territories to engage with clients on-site.
- Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-ups and high levels of customer satisfaction.
