Our client is a Swiss company that manufacture and supply process heat technology products, including hot air and infrared tools, serving a global market segment with innovative solutions
They are currently seeking to hire a Sales Engineer in Penang. They are looking for candidates who have experienced selling machine components used for equipment in the semiconductor/electronics/medical device manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and expansion of the Penang Market and Key and New Customer base
- Establish and manage relationships with key customers and ensure a regular exchange to foster long-lasting partnerships.
- Identifies and develops new business areas, industries and applications where the company can acquire new companies with growth potential that contribute to the future growth of the company
- Develops and expands existing business areas with growth potential.
- Identifies, analyse and potential industries with a need for manufacturing equipment for Process Heat Application
- Supports Product Management in the development of products for new business areas
- Attends or participates in trade shows, congresses on-site and on virtual platforms
- Establish and maintain industry-specific networks and relationships (universities, institutes, market influencers, etc.) on-site and via social media
- Ensures timely and appropriate communication, both internally and externally
Requirements:
- Key Attribute: Positive Attitude
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
- At least 4 years of sales experience into the semiconductor/electronics/medical device manufacturing industry preferably in machine components.
- Thermodynamics / Process Heat/ Plastic Knowledge – good to have
- Experience in the Automation / System Integrator Business Industry
- Proficiency with Windows 365 Tools: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
- Able to search and build new target company database (Google, ChatGPT etc)
- Able/Willingness to look and build Solutions together with the targeted companies
- Generate Visit Reports – detailed (Pictures, PowerPoints, Word etc)
- Able/Willing to visit 7-10 Companies per week (new/existing companies)
- Able/Willing to travel overseas
