Sales Engineer/Senior Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities across Johor and Melaka.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and technical solutions in coordination with internal technical teams and principals.
• Prepare quotations, technical and commercial proposals, and tender documentation.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with customers.
• Monitor project progress, follow up on orders and deliveries, and coordinate after-sales support.
• Conduct customer visits, build long-term relationships, and identify new projects and market opportunities.
• Maintain sales pipelines, customer records, forecasts, and competitor information.
• Work towards assigned sales targets and business development objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of technical sales experience in industrial products; candidates with 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered for the Senior Sales Engineer level.
• Experience selling industrial valves, actuators, pumps, piping, or related flow-control products.
• Exposure to customers in Oil & Gas, marine, manufacturing, chemical, or process industries is an advantage.
• Experience in managing existing accounts and developing new customers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.
• Must be currently based in Johor, preferably around Johor Bahru and nearby industrial areas, and comfortable covering customers across Johor and Melaka.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport for customer visits.
