We're looking for a Sales Executive based in Miri to grow Boost's merchant and partner portfolio by selling payment solutions such as payment terminals (POS), payment gateway, and business partnerships. You'll build a healthy pipeline, convert opportunities, and manage relationships to drive sustained revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets (new sign-ups, revenue, activation and utilisation).
- Acquire new merchants and partners (SMEs and larger accounts) for Boost payment solutions including terminals, payment gateway, and integrated payment partnerships.
- Run the full sales cycle: prospecting qualification solution pitch proposal negotiation onboarding/activation after-sales management.
- Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs (industry, cashflow, operations) and recommend the right Boost solution.
- Manage negotiations and influence decision-makers, including business owners and senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams (Ops, Product, Risk/Compliance, Finance) to ensure smooth onboarding and timely issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM: pipeline, activity tracking, forecasts, and sales reporting.
- Monitor market activity (competitors, pricing, promotions) and share insights to improve go-to-market execution.
Requirements:
- Sarawakian and based in Miri, Sarawak
- 15 years of quota-carrying sales experience with consistent target achievement.
- Strong customer-facing skills: prospecting, pitching, objection handling, negotiation, and closing.
- Comfortable using CRM tools and maintaining disciplined pipeline hygiene.
- Strong communication skills (spoken and written) and ability to build trust quickly.
Preferred / Advantage
- FMCG background (e.g., distributor, key account, outlet servicing, route-to-market) strong advantage.
- Experience selling B2B solutions (fintech/payments, telco, SaaS, devices, banking products, or merchant solutions).
- Existing network in Miri/Sarawak merchant communities (retail, F&B, services, distributors).
