Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Sales Executive is responsible for prospecting and securing new business, maintaining and growing relationships with corporate, leisure, and group clients, and promoting the hotel's rooms, meeting spaces, and services. Typical day-to-day tasks include conducting sales calls and client visits, preparing proposals and contracts, responding to inquiries, and following up to close business and meet revenue targets. The role involves coordinating with the reservations, front office, and events teams to ensure smooth execution of bookings and an excellent guest experience. The Sales Executive will also monitor market trends and competitors, participate in sales events and trade shows, and prepare regular reports and forecasts for the leadership team.
Qualifications
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with proven experience in achieving revenue or sales targets, preferably in hospitality or related industries.
  • Customer relationship management abilities, including account management, client servicing, and maintaining long-term business partnerships.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to interact confidently with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational and planning skills to manage pipelines, prepare proposals and contracts, and coordinate with internal departments effectively.
  • Business and market awareness, including understanding of hospitality industry trends, competitor activity, and basic revenue management concepts.
  • Proficiency in common office and sales tools (e.g., CRM systems, MS Office suite) and comfort working with reports and performance data.
  • Ability to work on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and collaborate across multicultural teams.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; prior hotel sales experience is an advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English; additional language skills relevant
