About the Role
We are looking for a wolf-mindset and results-driven Sales Executive to drive sales growth within assigned territories by managing retail outlets, wholesalers, and distributors. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, ensuring product availability, expanding market coverage, and building strong customer relationships in the FMCG sector.
Responsibilities
Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Promote and sell FMCG products to retailers, wholesalers, and local distributors
- Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and in-store presence
- Execute company sales strategies and promotional campaigns effectively
Market Coverage & Distribution
- Visit assigned outlets regularly according to the planned route, including outstation travel when required
- Expand market coverage by onboarding new retail outlets and customers
- Ensure product availability and minimize out-of-stock situations
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
Merchandising & Branding
- Ensure product displays are aligned with company merchandising guidelines
- Check shelf space, pricing accuracy, and promotional materials in outlets
- Coordinate with merchandising teams when necessary to support in-store execution
Collections & Reporting
- Follow up on payments and ensure timely collections from customers
- Maintain accurate sales, stock, and customer records
- Submit daily sales reports, route reports, and other required updates to the supervisor
- Update customer database and maintain proper sales documentation
Qualifications
- SPM / high school diploma or Bachelor's degree; a diploma or degree is an added advantage
- 1–3 years of FMCG sales experience in the local market
- Exposure to both East Malaysia and West Malaysia markets is an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Good knowledge of the local retail landscape, including General Trade and Modern Trade channels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets consistently
- Willingness to travel for outstation visits when required
- Valid driving licence is preferred for territory coverage
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: RM 5,000+ per month + commission, depending on experience and qualifications
