Role Overview
The Sales Executive is responsible for converting enquiries into revenue across MECA's key offerings - including public courses, events, and yearly retainers.
This role is execution-heavy, focused on follow-ups, conversions, renewals, and pipeline discipline rather than brand building or content creation.
You will work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing and MECA's consultants to ensure opportunities are followed through professionally and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
Convert inbound enquiries into:
- MECA Membership sign-ups
- Public training course registrations
- Roundtable and conference participation
- Advisory and retainer engagements
- Conduct structured follow-ups via calls, email, and WhatsApp.
- Explain MECA's services, value propositions, and pricing clearly and accurately.
- Prepare proposals, and confirmation documents.
- Support upselling, cross-selling, and renewals.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Track lead status, follow-ups, conversions, and drop-offs.
- Ensure no enquiry is left unattended or unclosed.
- Generate basic sales reports and pipeline updates.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with clients, members, and participants before and after engagements.
- Coordinate with internal consultants on advisory enquiries and conversions.
- Work with the finance team on invoicing, confirmations, and collections.
- Handle client queries professionally and escalate when required.
Event & Training Sales Support
- Follow up with interested prospects pre- and post-event.
- Support on-site sales or registration activities when required.
Marketing Exposure (Support Only)
- Use marketing materials provided (brochures, EDMs, landing pages).
- Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and common objections.
- Assist with basic outreach when campaigns are running.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 1–3 years experience in sales, account management, or client-facing roles.
- Experience in B2B, professional services, training, or membership-based sales is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Comfortable speaking to employers, managers, and HR professionals.
- Highly organised and disciplined with follow-ups.
- Able to handle objections and close professionally.
- Comfortable working with targets and performance tracking.
