Description of Key Job Duties:
- Market Strategy Development: Lead market research and customer demand analysis for the ROA energy storage market (with a focus on the Malaysia and selected Asia countries). Design and execute targeted go-to-market strategies and implementation plans.
- Competitive & Customer Insights: Conduct competitor mapping, customer profiling, and intelligence gathering to identify growth opportunities and support business planning.
- Sales Target Delivery: Take full ownership of achieving annual sales targets across assigned territories and product lines, ensuring timely and profitable results.
- Client Engagement & Negotiation: Build and maintain strong relationships with key energy companies, EPCs, and government authorities. Lead technical exchanges, proposal presentations, tendering, and contract negotiations.
- Customer Development & Relationship Management: Expand the customer base and strengthen partnerships, ensuring high satisfaction (90%) and driving continuous business growth through repurchase and upselling.
- Project Execution Support: Collaborate with solution and technical teams to deliver customized energy storage solutions, ensuring seamless execution from design to implementation.
- Delivery Coordination & Milestone Management: Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure all project milestones are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Skills Requirement:
- Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven sales or business development experience in the new energy or energy storage industry, specific experience in BESS, inverters or electrical T&D and with a successful record of managing customers and projects in APAC or Malaysia.
- Local Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the business environment, policy frameworks, and compliance requirements in Malaysia or Asia markets; experience working with major utilities is preferred.
- Channel & Partnership Development: Deep understanding of local sales channels and the ability to build and manage partner networks.
- Technical Understanding: Solid foundational knowledge of energy storage systems (ESS), including key product parameters and system configuration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, New Energy, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field.
- Business Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong grasp of international contract terms and risk management; hands-on experience in the APAC market is preferred.
- Collaboration & Adaptability: Strong cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills, with high resilience and self-motivation; capable of managing frequent travel and multiple priorities effectively.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and Chinese (business level) is required (to communicate with Chinese counterparties); additional local language ability is a plus.
