Job Description

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Be Doing)

  • Take charge of sales performance in your assigned region in Malaysia. Plan and execute sales activities to hit monthly and quarterly KPIs.
  • Develop new customers, including main contractors, developers, hardware dealers, and distributors, while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts for long-term cooperation.
  • Understand project requirements and provide the right product solutions (waterproofing systems, coatings, sealants, drymix products, etc.). Work closely with the technical team to support site issues when needed.
  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and commercial documents. Participate in negotiations and drive deals to closure.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical support, customer service, logistics, marketing) to ensure smooth delivery and excellent customer experience.
  • Conduct regular market visits to gather information on competitor pricing, activities, and market movement. Provide timely feedback on new opportunities and trends.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical sharing sessions to expand brand visibility.

Qualifications (The Type of Person We're Looking For)

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field (engineering, chemistry, and construction-related fields are a plus).
  • Minimum 35 years of sales experience in the Malaysian construction materials industry, with knowledge of at least one product category:
  • Waterproofing products (membrane, coating, sealants, etc.)
  • Construction or industrial coatings
  • Adhesives, grout, drymix, or related building products
  • Candidates with experience from:
  • Sika Malaysia, Saint-Gobain Malaysia, Nippon Paint, Mapei, Weber, Saveto, or major local distributors (e.g., Chin Hin, Sam Lim, Engtex) will be strongly preferred.
  • Possess an existing network within the local construction market (contractors, developers, hardware shops/distributors) and can start contributing quickly.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. Able to communicate confidently in at least two of the following languages: English / Bahasa Malaysia / Mandarin.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently with good time management.
  • Willing to travel within Peninsular Malaysia; experience in Sabah/Sarawak is a bonus.
