Sales Manager Malaysia

Work Location

Penang, Malaysia (local residence required)

Core Responsibilities

  1. Market Development: Deeply explore the Penang and Northern Malaysia markets, acquire new customers (key industries: semiconductor, electronics manufacturing services, automotive electronics, etc.), and formulate regional sales strategies.
  2. Customer Management: Build customer networks from the ground up, identify enterprise pain points in data collection, provide customized solutions, and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  3. Product & Solution Promotion: Lead the full sales cycle of barcode printers, RFID and barcode labels, mobile data collection devices, and customized software (including demonstration, quotation, negotiation, and delivery).
  4. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with the technical team to deliver professional proposals and drive customer requirements into executable solutions.
  5. Market Insights: Track Industry 4.0 trends, analyze competitor dynamics, and optimize localized sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience:
  • Over 5 years of B2B product sales experience, with preference for those with sales experience in the electronics manufacturing industry (e.g., PCB factories, semiconductor packaging and testing companies).
  • Experience in selling IoT hardware (sensors/collectors), industrial automation software, or enterprise information systems is a plus.
  • Customer Network:
  • Existing connections with decision-makers in procurement, IT, or supply chain are highly preferred.
  • Technical Understanding:
  • Ability to quickly understand how data collection technologies are applied in production traceability, warehouse management, and equipment monitoring.
  • Language Skills:
  • Fluent in Mandarin, English (technical documentation and business negotiation), and Malay.

  • Business Resilience: Comfortable with long decision-making cycles (612 months) and managing complex customer hierarchies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with IoT hardware brands (e.g., Zebra, Honeywell, Datalogic) or industrial software companies.
  • Experience in helping Chinese technology enterprises expand into the Southeast Asian market.
