We're Hiring: Sales Manager – East Malaysia

Oriental Yuhong is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to support our market expansion in East Malaysia. As one of our first sales hires in the region, you will play a key role in building our local distribution network, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving sustainable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new sales channels across East Malaysia, including distributors, dealers, retailers, and key accounts.

• Build and strengthen the local sales and distribution network.

• Identify and develop new business partners and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

• Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, margins, sales targets, payment terms, and partnership agreements.

• Analyze market opportunities, competitors, customer needs, and channel trends.

• Drive product penetration, market coverage, and sales growth.

• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure effective market execution.

• Provide regular updates on sales performance, channel development, forecasts, and market feedback.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification.

• Based in East Malaysia, with strong knowledge of the local market and business environment.

• 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials, construction chemicals, waterproofing, or related industries.

• An established local customer or distribution network is highly desirable.

• Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Mandarin proficiency is preferred due to business communication needs.

• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setup.

• Willing and able to travel within East Malaysia as required.
