We are partnering with a European based MNC that specializes in Engineering Coating Services. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Sales Manager as part of their strategic growth.
Responsibility:
- Architect and execute the annual Business Development roadmap, encompassing comprehensive yearly budgeting and precise monthly forecasting.
- Drive the performance of a multi-territory sales team (Malaysia, Singapore, and Batam), fostering a culture of accountability and high achievement.
- Design and implement robust training frameworks for both new hires and tenured staff to ensure a technically proficient and agile sales force.
- Identify and capture high-potential business opportunities by analyzing digital sales trends and evolving industry needs.
- Optimize market share and margins through the deployment of sophisticated pricing strategies and Risk-Based Thinking to navigate market volatility.
- Serve as the primary technical touchpoint, providing high-level guidance and direction to the sales engineering team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 810 years of experience in technical sales or business development, with at least 35 years in a regional leadership or managerial capacity.
- Proven track record of managing markets within Malaysia and Singapore; experience with the Batam region is highly advantageous.
- Strong capability in P&L management, budget forecasting, and strategic market mapping.
- A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field is preferred to provide credible support to the sales engineering team.
- Exceptional negotiation, influence, and communication skills, with the ability to lead solid-line reporting structures effectively.
