Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for managing key corporate and leisure accounts, driving room and event revenue, and executing sales strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and developing new business opportunities, conducting sales calls and client visits, preparing proposals and contracts, and coordinating site inspections and familiarization trips. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with the revenue, marketing, and operations teams to create attractive packages, ensure accurate forecasting, and deliver a seamless guest experience. The role also involves maintaining detailed sales reports, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and representing the hotel at industry events and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Experience in hotel or hospitality sales, with a strong track record in managing accounts and achieving revenue targets.
- Proficiency in sales planning, pipeline management, and creating tailored proposals for corporate, MICE, and leisure segments.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Familiarity with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of local and regional market dynamics within Kuala Lumpur and the wider Klang Valley, including key corporate and travel segments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Prior experience in a luxury or upscale hotel brand is highly desirable.
