ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Manager owns the entire customer commercial lifecycle—from pre-sales and tender management through deal closure, account growth, and post-sales delivery governance. The role is accountable for revenue growth, margin protection, customer satisfaction, and execution discipline.
SKILL & QUALIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. End-to-End Sales & Revenue Ownership
· Drive new business acquisition and expansion within assigned markets, solutions, or accounts
· Lead opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and value-based selling
· Own deal closure, pricing strategy, negotiations, and commercial approvals
· Achieve assigned revenue, margin, and growth targets
2. Tender & Bid Management
· Own and manage end-to-end tender processes (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
· Coordinate inputs from pre-sales, technical, legal, finance, and delivery teams
· Ensure bids are compliant, competitive, and commercially viable
· Lead bid strategy, risk assessment, and executive reviews
· Present proposals and defend submissions to customers where required
3. Account Management & Customer Growth
· Act as the primary commercial owner for assigned accounts
· Build senior-level customer relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
· Drive renewals, upsell, cross-sell, and long-term account growth
· Conduct account reviews (QBRs), identify expansion opportunities, and mitigate churn risk
4. Post-Sales Delivery & Project Oversight (Commercial)
· Serve as the commercial point of accountability during delivery
· Ensure delivery aligns with contractual scope, SLAs, timelines, and commercials
· Manage change requests, variations, and scope adjustments
· Coordinate with delivery/project managers to resolve risks and escalations
· Protect margin, customer outcomes, and contractual compliance
5. Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance
· Act as the bridge between Sales, Delivery, Finance, Legal, and Operations
· Enforce commercial policies, pricing discipline, and risk controls
· Provide accurate pipeline, forecast, and business performance reporting
· Contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and service offerings
