The Sales Operations Manager (SOM) manages sales operation processes across PSR, VET & PRO Channel in close collaboration with other functions and stakeholders to enable sales team productivity & efficiency. He/she is the sales technology expert when it comes to process, procedures and tools and a master of efficiency, able to improve ways of working within the sales department and working together with other functions. Getting insights from data and using systems to drive efficiency, he/she manages the CRM and uses it to drive the sales team activities and measure performance. SOM helps management team make data driven decisions and works with Marketing team to enable strong sales execution of promotions. SOM is responsible for periodic and long-term sales forecast and plays a critical role in training of the sales team to use technology effectively and understand internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
Build efficient sales processes
• Help to design an overarching view of company sales strategies and how to best drive these strategies in the field
• Monitor the performance of various sales strategies in terms of numerical distributions, revenue
generation and customer satisfaction.
• Leverage on analysis insights to create customer-oriented sales techniques to boost revenue and
promote brand loyalty.
• Key contributor to improve efficiency of existing routes to market and increase speed to market of key targeted innovations, new launches and tactical promotions.
• Improve sales process through the implementation of better measurement & execution.
• Owns the sales processes and SOP and works with other departments to improve efficiency (sales orders, new account opening, product complain, BDM investment, credit terms review, etc.); train the sales team on these processes.
• Manage and ensure useful of the overall sales tech stack, including Salesforce and other sales tools (Webshop, S2S, 1Nav, RC Academy, NRCC etc), being fully utilized to achieve business objectives & target.
• Provide the technical and material support sales team require to make sales & effective visits
• Advocate for the sales team efficiency.
• Assist with on-boarding of new joiners and train the sales team to use technology effectively and understand internal processes.
Perform strategic planning & Support decision making
• Generate & build reports for management team to help insights and decision making.
• Assess existing risks and identify untapped opportunities at customers or in product portfolio.
• Sales data analysis, identifies trends, forecast sales, and implement strategies to improve sales performance.
• Check and monitor the sales team's performance results and identify areas that require changes and come out with recommendations.
• Monitor effectiveness of marketing or sales incentive campaigns (distribution, growth etc.), being the part of PMR and DMR core teams.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Commerce/Business Analytics;
• Minimum 5 years experience in sales
• A prior role requiring analytical skills
• Fluent in English (written and oral) (Knowledge of local dialects would be added advantage)
• Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a multinational consumer goods company would be a plus
• An interest in pets / nutrition would be a plus
• Leadership skills and influencing without authority capability
• Strong analytical skills and ability to drive insights from data
