Position Summary
The Sales Representative leverages strong interpersonal skills and comprehensive product knowledge to drive sales within assigned territories or customer accounts. This role is responsible for effectively promoting and selling the company's products or services, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Key responsibilities include meeting or exceeding sales targets, identifying new market opportunities, conducting market analysis, processing orders, managing sales collections, and preparing accurate sales reports. The Sales Representative represents the organization professionally and plays a critical role in supporting business growth.
You will play an important role to:
1) Sales / Trade Execution
- Achieve assigned targets in line with sales strategies.
- Educate customers on product features and benefits.
2) Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationship with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries promptly and effectively resolve any issues or concerns.
3) Market Analysis and Support
- Assist in market research and stay informed about competitors.
- Secure and support promotional activities (e.g. roadshow, fairs) and product presentations at trade.
4) Sales Collection
- Monitor and ensure timely collections of payment within specified terms.
- Ensure Statement of Account (SOA) are constantly updated with customers.
- Ensure timely submission of claims with complete details and necessary documentation, and follow-up closely on deduction by customers.
5) Order Taking and Process
- Visit outlets to take orders accurately and submit for processing, ensuring on time delivery.
- Collaborate closely with sales operations and logistics team for efficient distribution.
6) Reporting and Documentation
- Compile sales reports and provide insights of the assigned territory.
- Maintain records of sales activities and customer interactions.
7) At any time, undertake any other duties that may be assigned by the Management/ Head of Department/ Line Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Relationship Management, Communications, Business Administration or any other related field. The equivalent of this in working experience is also acceptable for this position.
- At least 1 year of experience in Sales & Marketing roles.
- Good multitasking and organization skills.
- Good in selling, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of General Trade channel, ways of working and how to impact.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
