Position Summary:
The Sales Service Engineer is responsible for Rotating Equipment MRO service sales for the assigned portfolio which includes preventive maintenance services, parts and components, breakdown and repair, refurbishment, and other related services to achieve sales targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive Sales & Secure Contracts: Implement sales strategies to achieve sales and order targets, promote service offerings (MRO, spare parts, repairs, refurbishment), prepare quotations/tenders, and negotiate terms within the assigned authority limits.
- Strengthen Customer Relationships: Maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits, provide timely updates and support the team in ensuring timely invoicing and payment follow-ups.
- Coordinate Service Operations with Service Technicians: Coordinate and schedule service jobs with the technician team, ensure proper job allocation, and follow up closely to ensure efficient and satisfactory job completion.
- Handle Technical & Warranty Matters: Oversee technical issue resolution and warranty claims by coordinating with the technician team or delegating tasks to the service team when necessary.
- Monitor Cost & Resource Utilization: To ensure profitability and proper resource allocation in line with budget.
- Market Development: Identify new markets and product applications, participate in trade shows/marketing events, and stay updated on market trends to recommend suitable products/services to customers.
- Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely updates of sales activities and provide regular performance reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to the Sales Manager.
Job Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 1-3 years of working experience in related field
- Rotating Equipment MRO service experience is highly preferred
- Good interpersonal & presentation skill as this is a customer-facing role
- Preferably equipped with basic knowledge & understanding on working principles of Rotating Equipment, Mechanical Seal & Gasketed Plated heat exchangers
- Excellent In English & B. Malaysia (written & spoken)
- Able to travel domestically must have valid driving license and own vehicle.
