Sales Specialist

Client Industry: Malaysian travel and tourism company,particularly associated with airline ticketing, travel reservations and its role as a General Sales Agent (GSA) for Saudia in Malaysia.

Location: Penang

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Specialist to join the airlines commercial team in Penang, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the airline's market presence, strengthening relationships with travel trade partners, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and market share targets.
• Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and other key business partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and trade engagement.
• Conduct regular sales visits, presentations, and business negotiations to secure new and existing accounts.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, providing market insights to support commercial decisions.
• Promote the airline's products, services, and promotional campaigns to maximize sales opportunities.
• Represent the airline at trade exhibitions, industry events, and customer meetings.
• Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate customer records.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the airline, travel, or tourism industry.
• Strong network and established relationships within the travel trade industry.
• Proven ability to develop corporate accounts and build long-term business partnerships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
