Job Description

Company Description PruBSN Takaful offers Shariah-compliant protection and savings solutions designed to support long-term financial security and meaningful legacy planning. Some clients choose these plans to create charitable endowments, directing substantial death benefits to selected non-profit or religious organizations after their passing. This approach allows clients to contribute up to RM1 million or more in khairat (charitable giving) through structured Takaful benefits. PruBSN Takaful focuses on helping individuals and families align their financial protection with their values, including philanthropy and social responsibility. The organization emphasizes ethical financial practices, community impact, and customer-centric service.

Role Description This is a full-time Sales Takaful Consultant role based in Shah Alam, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work-from-home flexibility. The Sales Takaful Consultant is responsible for identifying prospective clients, conducting needs-based financial and protection assessments, and recommending suitable Takaful plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients in person and virtually, explaining product features and benefits, preparing proposals, and assisting clients with application and onboarding processes. The role also involves maintaining ongoing client relationships, providing policy reviews, and supporting claims or servicing inquiries. Consultants are expected to collaborate with the wider sales team, participate in training sessions, and adhere to regulatory, Shariah, and company compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to build trust and explain Takaful concepts clearly to diverse clients.
  • Sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management abilities, preferably with experience in financial services or insurance.
  • Basic financial literacy and understanding of protection, savings, and legacy planning, with an interest in Shariah-compliant solutions.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a hybrid environment while meeting sales and service targets.
  • Good organizational and time management skills for handling multiple client portfolios and follow-ups effectively.
  • Proficiency in common digital tools (email, video conferencing, CRM systems) to support hybrid client engagement.
  • Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in any field is preferred; relevant certifications in financial planning or Takaful are an advantage.
  • Ability to converse in Bahasa Malaysia and English; additional language skills are beneficial for reaching broader client segments.
