SAP ABAP/BTP Lead

Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned SAP ABAP BTP Lead to spearhead our digital transformation initiatives in Malaysia. In this strategic role, you will act as the primary technical architect, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and scalable SAP cloud solutions.

You will work closely with global stakeholders, cross-functional delivery teams, and executive leadership to drive the migration, development, and optimization of SAP ecosystems. Your expertise will directly influence business agility, ensuring that our technical architecture supports high-performance operations and delivers measurable value to our regional and international clients. Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the end-to-end development of SAP BTP solutions to modernize legacy systems and enhance operational efficiency for our global client base.

- Lead technical design workshops with senior stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust, scalable SAP ABAP and cloud-native technical specifications.

- Mentor and guide high-performing development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and code quality to ensure project delivery meets stringent enterprise standards.

- Manage the integration of SAP S/4HANA with BTP services, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation that drives significant business outcomes.

- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and performance tuning for critical SAP applications to minimize downtime and maximize system reliability for end-users.

- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to define technical roadmaps, ensuring all deliverables align with long-term organizational goals and digital transformation strategies.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in SAP ABAP development, including OData services, CDS views, and RAP/CAP programming models within the BTP environment.

- Proven ability to lead large-scale SAP implementation projects, managing technical teams across diverse geographical locations with a focus on hybrid work collaboration.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at the executive level.

- Strong analytical mindset to identify architectural bottlenecks and implement innovative, cost-effective solutions that optimize system performance.

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by a track record of continuous learning in SAP cloud technologies.

• - Extensive experience spanning 14 - 20 years in the SAP ecosystem, with a deep understanding of the transition from on-premise ABAP to cloud-native development.
