SAP FICO Operations Lead

Contract Duration: Initial 12 months (plus extensions)

Start Date: End January / Early February (latest: 2 months notice)

Location: Kuala Lumpurbased team

Work Pattern: Full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Operations Lead to join a Global SAP Centre of Excellence supporting APAC operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day FICO support while driving continuous improvement across processes and service delivery.

You will lead a team of three SAP FICO support analysts based in Kuala Lumpur, acting as the primary FICO point of contact for APAC stakeholders. The role requires strong functional expertise, the ability to resolve complex issues independently, and confidence working within a global S/4HANA template.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a Kuala Lumpurbased SAP FICO support team
• Own daily operational support and incident resolution across APAC
• Act as the FICO escalation point for business and IT stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and effective workload distribution
• Drive process optimisation and operational improvements
• Participate in global governance meetings and solution discussions
• Support change, transport, and incident management activities
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and documentation

• Fixed Assets: incl. Project Systems (WBS)
• Indirect Tax: VAT, GST, WHT, Vertex, DRC
• Controlling (CO): IO, Cost Centres, Profit Centres, COPA
• COPC / Material Costing Planningcritical requirement
• Strong OTC and P2P integration understanding
