SAP FICO Lead (Global FMCG)

About the Company

Our client is a global consumer/FMCG manufacturer with regional operations across APAC, and is looking to hire a techno-functional SAP Lead to own SAP FICO and finance systems delivery across its 6-country footprint of 400 users.

Role & Responsibilities

Subject matter expert for SAP FICO and adjacent finance systems including Jedox. Reporting into the Regional Head of IT, this role requires depth across core FI modules and specialized controlling areas, alongside Material Ledger and system integration know-how.

• Own system stability, incident resolution, and enhancements for SAP FICO and related finance applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot SAP FI/CO — general ledger, AR/AP, and asset accounting at a working level, with specialist depth in cost element, cost center, profit center, profitability, internal order, and product costing controlling
• Apply hands-on Material Ledger expertise, both technical and functional, alongside broader business process configuration and integration with external systems
• Drive project lifecycles end-to-end from sourcing, blueprinting, realization, to Go-Live
• Manage third-party vendors and oversee AMS quality standards for SAP and FP&A platforms
• Act as the key liaison between Finance and IT, shaping how business needs get built into system solutions
• Run workshops to design business processes and translate requirements into technical specs for ABAP developers
• Oversee integration between Jedox, other finance systems, and external interfaces (3PL, bank platforms)
• Train key users and guide functional consultants on SAP best practices

Requirements

• Min 7 years hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience, including system design and IT operations
• SAP FICO project/operation support with proven customization experience
• Expertise in FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP, FI-AA, as well as CO-CEA, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, CO-PA, CO-IO, and CO-PC
• Hands-on Material Ledger experience (technical and functional)
• Able to configure SAP FICO and translate business requirements into system solutions
• Manufacturing environment exposure, with solid understanding of supply chain flow and related Finance processes
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA modules (SD, MM, PP, DS, QM, Fiori, IBP)
• Bonus: Self-driven exposure to SAP S/4HANA-to-SAP RISE migration planning
